Pursuing Collaborative Friendships / Building Partnerships

I can’t tell you how many times friends have asked, “What does ChinaSource actually do?” So, I thought it would be good to dig a little deeper into this question. Of course, most of our friends know that ChinaSource is a trusted platform providing information, analysis, and vital content resources to help keep the global church in the know, in prayer, and in service, with Chinese Christians in the Mainland and the diaspora, but that’s only the beginning:

For almost three decades now, ChinaSource has been serving as a trusted friend and advisor, connecting like-minded and like-hearted kingdom ministries, to organizations and individuals seeking to understand and navigate the evolving ministry landscape in China.

Benefits of Collaboration

Following are the benefits of ChinaSource’s collaborative efforts:

1. Strengthened Relationships

  • Building trust and mutual understanding between organizations, individuals, and the church in China.
  • Fostering long-term partnerships rooted in shared goals and respect for cultural contexts.

2. Enhanced Strategic Effectiveness

  • Providing tailored guidance to help partners adapt to the dynamic ministry environment in China.
  • Enabling organizations to make informed, strategic decisions that maximize their effectiveness.

3. Expanded Kingdom Influence

  • Amplifying the voices of those serving in China, ensuring their perspectives inform global conversations.
  • Connecting organizations and individuals with complementary expertise and resources.
  • Offering expertise and discretion for organizations learning to be “wise…and harmless.”

By fostering collaboration, ChinaSource empowers its partners to serve more effectively, creating a ripple effect that advances God’s purposes in China and the global church.

Believing that collaboration is the key to effective service, ChinaSource partners with organizations and individuals to accomplish mutually beneficial and predetermined objectives that serve, support, and strengthen the Body of Jesus Christ in the global Chinese community and the church in China.

Partnership Kingdom Outcomes

  • Partnerships produce and deliver the best information, analysis, and inspiration to Christians around the world, increasing the number of people interested in praying for and serving with the Chinese.
  • Partnerships strengthen the Chinese church community, streamlining access to resources, knowledge, and relationships that will produce transformational solutions in this challenging era.
  • Partnerships connect diaspora and Western churches to ministry opportunities such as training outreach leaders, reaching Chinese students abroad, engaging the growing Chinese diaspora, equipping Chinese shepherds as they adapt to new modes of ministry, managing leadership successions, and raising up the next generation of leaders.

Strategic, collaborative partnerships under the guidance of the Holy Spirit are dynamically accomplishing the vision he has given to ChinaSource; to see the church in China and the global church, learning and growing together, engaging in ministry that powerfully advances the kingdom of God.

Strategic, collaborative partnerships are also one vital, organic channel through which our Heavenly Father is answering his Son’s prayer that “they may be one, as we are one” (John 17:22-23).

This is what God has called ChinaSource to be and to do, and we are very grateful for this calling from him, and the joy of partnering with so many of you!

Ways to Pray

  • Praise God with us that God has called ChinaSource to collaborate and partner with the global and Chinese church, so that we may know oneness in Christ, and serve together for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
  • Thank God for the opportunities he gives his people to “reconsider how we listen, how we worship, and how we remember the spiritual treasures entrusted to the global church.” See Standing in the True Light: A Chinese Scholar’s Spiritual Journey to the Eastern Orthodox Church, by Andrea Lee, May 5, 2025.
  • Please pray “for foreign Christians living in, working in, and visiting China…Pray that God will grant them wisdom and perseverance.” See New Regulations for Foreigners in China, by Joann Pittman, Peter Bryant, May 6, 2025.
  • Pause and remember God’s purpose for your work. Pray for those around you—your colleagues, students, clients, or family. Reflect on how your everyday tasks can point to eternal truths. Commission others in your circle to go with courage and hope into their daily places of service. See Work as Worship: A Call to Live God’s Mission Everywhere, by Andrea Lee, April 28, 2025. Even though the Global Day of Faith at Work is past, God’s calling to reach the largest mission in the world, the workplace, is ongoing.
